These carefully chosen and crafted pieces represent a considered mix of the esoteric and the highly pragmatic. Many of these simple things reflect the hand of the artisan or the quiet genius of the inventor. They are useful in ways that are difficult to quantify but, if pressed, we would say they make life a little more efficient and a lot more beautiful.
Grafisk Design: Henrik Nygren
An Amazing book, Grafisk Design: Henrik Nygren. Over 15 years ago a mutual friend recommended that Henrik stop by our studio, Design MW and I have been a fan ever since. When I heard he was putting together a monograph of his work of the past two decades, I ordered my copy before they were bound. Henrik has developed a remarkable body of work with institutions, galleries, artists, and publishers such as Beckmans College of Design, Birkhäuser, Hasselblad Centre, Moderna Museet, Phaidon, Serpentine Galleries, David Zwirner, and so many others. With essays by Tom Hedqvist, Armin Hofmann, Ellsworth Kelly, Signe Persson-Melin, Peter Saville et al. There are 896 pages with 1315 images of personal inspiration and examples of his work. As far as we know we are the only US seller of this book.
